Production Technician

Our client, located in Garner, North Carolina, has an immediate need to fill the position of Production Technician.

Duties and Responsibilities
o Complies with all company safety rules and procedures.
o Monitors and reacts in a timely manner to routine demand maintenance requirements.
o Participates in routine Preventative/Predictable Maintenance.
o Troubleshoots equipment stoppages and reacts accordingly.
o Utilizes various mechanical and electrical test equipment.
o Assists with manufacturing during product change-over.
o Plans, assists, documents, and implements process improvement techniques and devices.
o Utilizes machining, electrical and mechanical trade skills to complete daily tasks.
o Communicates with production and other various customers as needed.
o Performs other tasks as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
o Associates Degree in Applied Technology in industrial/manufacturing or equivalent experience.
o Formal training and practical experience in an industrial setting as a Production Technician.
o 3-5 years practical hands on experience in an industrial setting.
o Experience with high pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated material handling utilizing 480vac VFD's, and PLC control logic troubleshooting.

Competencies
o Good mechanical aptitude.
o Ability to work with minimal supervision on various optimization projects from conception to completion.
o Ability to produce technical reports and update drawings.
o Light machining and welding skills.
o Light fabrication skills.
o Good verbal and written communication skills.
o Able to interpret and produce mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.

To be considered for this position, the candidate must possess these
Qualifications:
o Associates Degree in Applied Technology in industrial/manufacturing or equivalent experience.
o Formal training in an industrial setting as a Production Technician.
o 3
years practical hands on experience in an industrial setting.
o Experience with high pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated material handling utilizing 480vac VFD's, and PLC control logic troubleshooting.
o Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-machine production line.
o Preventative Maintenance, High Speed Manufacturing, and Packaging experience are pluses.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
