Job Description This key leadership role provides direction and oversight for all technology solutions utilized, researched and/or implemented for all business functions and locations across the company. This includes, but is not limited to Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Telephony, Mobile Access, Project Management, PMO, Business Analysis, Business Intelligence, EDI, User Services, Information Security, IT Business Continuity Management, and Vendor Management. This position is responsible for providing strategies and leadership on issues affecting the performance and effectiveness of technology for the organization, managing system project implementations, upgrades, maintenance, etc., and collaborating across functions, with senior leaders and other key stakeholders as a key strategic partner in solving business challenges. Essential Functions, Duties &
Responsibilities:
Provides direct leadership of all technology for the company - including all information systems, programs, infrastructure, and information technology staff. Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based analyses to provide insights into the organization's computer operations and influence long term business plans. Oversee the company's total technology spend, including staffing, external resource use, hardware, software, maintenance, etc., ensuring proper planning, documentation, and financial considerations. Oversight of the annual technology and system project planning processes for the corporation, ensuring close partnership and collaboration with departmental plans, and long-term strategies. Ability to effectively manage multiple vendor relationships, assess new technologies, identify risk mitigation strategies, and explore alternative solutions as necessary. Provide direction in short and long-term information technology strategies, activities, and policy, including developing proper business plans, and detailing financial implications. Ensure proper and effective documentation, procedures and internal controls are in place and maintained for all systems, data, and reporting practices. Effectively partner with the Executive Leadership team, especially the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to assess organizational performance against both the annual technology plan and the company's long-term strategy, ensuring effective support and alignment of priorities across the company. Oversee development of key measures, tools, and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the company, as well as actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations. Multi-Site and Technological Support Leadership Lead cross-functional, multi-site teams in breaking down barriers, developing genuine trust, and driving technological excellence while serving, by example, as a key champion for the Butterball Way. Lead execution of technology strategies, including developing scalable processes that deliver the financial, cost, quality, safety, staffing, and service levels required to meet business objectives and customer expectations while ensuring financial strength and operating effectiveness. Ensure local site objectives and outcomes align with and deliver results specific to the strategic objectives set forth in Butterball's Annual Operating (AOP) and Long-Range Plans (LRP). Technology Analytics and Performance Lead the design and implementation of key performance indicators, metrics, goal setting, scorecards, and communication processes that effectively translate strategy into action goals and performance objectives. Use data driven, fact-based decisions to maximize integrated profitability while participating as a key leader in budget development and capital planning. Develop and manage long-range, annual, plans through an accurate and experience-based understanding of the P&L, complex operational financial planning, and accounting principles. Constantly monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities, issues, and risks in support of recommending relevant tactics and strategies, as well as delivering measurable impacts. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Challenge status quo within IT and across organization. Lead the IT strategic vision that is in alignment with the organization's short and long-term goals; is driven by the voice of the customer; and increases technological performance, drives continuous improvement, and mitigates risk. Maintain and apply knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in operations management; use that knowledge to identify, recommend, and implement new processes, programs, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline the organization and its use of resources and materials. Champion the organization's drive to implement a culture of continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma principles while promoting a continuous improvement mindset in operational processes and innovations at all levels. Drive key initiatives in the areas of quality, safety, sustainability, cost, and service through continuous improvement management; ensure consistency and standardization throughout the organization. Work with POD and HR teams to engage in operations-based workforce planning, succession planning, early-stage leadership development, apprenticeship, and training programs, as well as to develop a culture that results in greater retention. Work with direct reports to identify proper structure to leverage talent and capabilities throughout the IT function while identifying, coaching, and mentoring current and future leaders Processes and Enabling Technologies Identify process constraints and develop/deploy refinements to measurably improve results. Provide leadership and direction for future manufacturing requirements and capabilities in processes, products, facilities, training, tools, and technologies. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience in strategic planning and execution. Focus on providing exceptional customer relations. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong familiarity with finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control systems. Senior leadership experience managing cross-functional teams with demonstrated ability of building a strong, collaborative culture driving and exceeding projected results. Must have the knowledge, experience, and skills to be an effective leader and the ability to manage, influence, and create trust at all levels of the organization. In doing so, drive a spirit of continuous improvement, open thinking, and appreciation for a job well done. Experience:
Minimum of bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. Master's degree preferred. 8
years' experience in a Senior-level Information Technology role. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
